This school has a very welcoming environment, a beautiful campus, and great teachers. The block schedule allows students to absorb information over a longer period of time.

Torrey Pines High School is a very competitive high school with a rigorous academic atmosphere. TPHS offers nearly all of the available AP/Honours courses. All the syllabi offered at TPHS are comprehensive and successful. Workload depends on the specific teacher more rather than the class.

The teachers care about their students and want the best for them. They push them past their limits thus teaching them valuable lessons and how to be hard workers. Although teachers give a large amount of work to do in class and at home, they help prepare students for college and teach them time management.

Students are given the opportunity to participate in many organizations around the city of San Diego that allow them to grow as individuals, get real world experience in career related activities, and accumulate a hefty amount of community service.

Torrey Pines has many clubs ranging from key club to film club. There are clubs and organizations put together in order to help students learn and challenge themselves as much as possible. Clubs and activities at Torrey Pines are taken seriously and their competitive nature sets the tone for students as they carry on their day to day lives.
