19. Paint Branch High School, Burtonsville, MD

Paint Branch is a very diverse school with all different types of cultures. Most of the teachers there have a lot of experience and are dedicated to helping the students grow.

The school has very friendly staff and are always willing to listen to students voice and opinions. If there is some suspicious activity going on, the staff and principal value student safety and make sure students are safe. Safety is their first priority.

Teachers are usually available during lunch, before school, and after school to help students if needed. For the most part though, they’re not going to go out of their way to help you. You have to take the initiative of talking to them. A lot of teachers are starting to incorporate new technology into their teaching, also. Overall, there are some really cool teachers at Paint Branch.

The extracurricular activities within the school vary greatly. There are so many different extracurricular activities that pretty much anyone could join one. There are different activities for different interest for many different students. These clubs and activities are highly appreciated and respected by the staff and other students and serve a great purpose to many students.

The atmosphere at the school is so live, that there’s rarely a dull day. There are many clubs and sports to join at PB, ASA, Basketball, and Football being the main ones. Football games and Basketball games are always fun, especially with the student section and band.

Paint Branch was rebuilt about a few years ago. With the new building came many new pieces of equipment and intense school spirit. The school has sports ranging from Co-ed volleyball, to swim and dive, basketball, football, soccer etc all teams support each other, basketball and football games are very lively having students from others schools attending.
