Founded in 1828, McKendree University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the small town of Lebanon (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Illinois.

Officially accredited/recognized by the The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, McKendree University is a small (enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Methodist (United Methodist Church – www.gbhem.org) religion.
